What makes up the price
Paper plus printing. Nothing else
At every print shop, the price of a page has two parts: paper (by format, type and weight – standard A4 80 g/m² is the most common and cheapest) and printing (per printed side, depending on colour). No hidden fees – the price you see is exactly what you pay the print shop.
Double-sided printing is usually cheaper per page – one sheet of paper gets used on both sides. And many print shops offer volume discounts: above a certain page count, the price per page drops, which you will notice most with lecture notes and longer documents.
We detect colour pages automatically. Pick colour printing for a PDF and we check it page by page – only the pages that actually contain colour bill at the colour rate, the rest prints at the black-and-white price. Notes with a few colour charts never cost you the colour price for the whole document.
After you upload your files, we calculate the exact price of your order at each print shop separately, from its real price list – deterministically, so what you see before ordering is exactly what you pay on the spot. You pay only on pickup, and we never mark the shops' prices up.
