Terms and Conditions
Tiskárník Terms and Conditions
Written to be actually read: who sells to you, how the contract works, what you pay and what your rights are. The Czech version is binding for consumers; this translation is for convenience.
Who we are and what these terms cover
The Tiskárník platform at tiskarnik.cz is operated by Jetlio, s.r.o., Id. No. (IČO) 09967231, registered office Voroněžská 2547/1, 616 00 Brno, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Brno, file C 121887 ("Tiskárník", "we"). Contact: [email protected], +420 735 070 780. We are not a VAT payer.
These terms govern every purchase of printing services and printed goods made through the platform. By placing an order you accept them; we send them to you, together with the statutory withdrawal information, in text form in the order confirmation e-mail.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law provisions. Where anything is in doubt, the interpretation more favourable to you prevails.
Who sells to you
We are the seller. When you order through Tiskárník, your contract is with Jetlio, s.r.o. – not with the individual print shop.
The printing itself is carried out by an independent professional print shop from our network (a "print shop"), acting as our subcontractor. The print shop you choose produces your order, hands it over or dispatches it, and is our local point for inspection and complaints. We remain fully responsible to you for the whole performance, including the print shop's work (Section 1935 of the Czech Civil Code).
The print shop's name, address, opening hours and ratings are shown before you order and on your order page throughout.
Ordering, contract formation and prices
The order is your binding offer. You place it with a button that makes it clear the order obliges you to pay (Section 1826a of the Civil Code). Before submitting you see a full recap: files, print parameters, the print shop, the handover method, the payment method and the total price.
The contract is concluded when we accept your order – that is, when the chosen print shop confirms it in our system. We confirm acceptance by e-mail and on the order page. Until acceptance you may cancel the order free of charge on the order page. If the print shop cannot take the order (capacity, unsupported stock, unlawful content), no contract is formed, we tell you without undue delay, and anything already paid is returned in full.
Prices are final and binding. The quote is computed from the print shop's own published price list; we add no markup. The price includes everything you selected – paper, printing, finishing, packaging, the handover method and any payment-method fee – each itemised before you order. An obvious pricing error (say 0.01 CZK for a thousand posters) does not bind us; if we invoke one, you hear about it before production starts and may cancel free of charge.
Tax documents for your purchase are issued by us; you will find them on the order page and the print shop can hand them over at pickup.
Changes after acceptance. Until handover you and the print shop may agree on changes (extra copies, different finishing). Every change is re-priced through the platform and confirmed to you by e-mail, including the new total, before it binds you.
Your files and content
By uploading files you grant us and the chosen print shop a royalty-free licence to reproduce them solely to produce and fulfil your order (including proofs and a reprint under a complaint). We claim no other rights to your content.
You confirm that you hold the rights needed to have the content printed and that it does not violate the law or third-party rights. We and the print shop may refuse evidently unlawful content. Refusal before acceptance means no contract was formed; after acceptance it counts as our withdrawal and everything paid comes back.
Files are stored on protected EU servers with time-limited access restricted to fulfilling the order – details in the privacy policy.
Payment
Available methods depend on the print shop and the handover method and are always shown before you order:
- Bank transfer / QR payment in advance – to our account stated in the payment instructions. Production of advance-paid orders usually starts once the payment is credited.
- Cash or card at pickup – you pay at the counter when collecting; the print shop collects the payment in our name and on our account.
- Cash on delivery – you pay the carrier.
- Payment on invoice – where offered, with the maturity stated on the invoice.
Whichever offered method you use, the payment discharges your debt towards us. Any payment-method fee is shown in the quote before ordering. If an advance payment does not arrive within 7 days of acceptance and you do not react to our reminder, we may withdraw from the contract.
Production, handover and deadlines
The expected completion time is shown per print shop before ordering and runs from acceptance (for advance-paid orders from the crediting of the payment). If a delay emerges, the order page and e-mail keep you posted. If the delay is unreasonable, you may set an additional reasonable deadline and withdraw once it passes unused.
Personal pickup. For orders payable at pickup you can inspect the prints at the counter before paying. Collect the order within 30 days of the "ready" notice unless agreed otherwise; after a reminder and a further reasonable period we may withdraw and charge the price of the custom work already produced – made-to-order prints cannot be resold.
Delivery. The risk of damage passes to you, as a consumer, at takeover. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, refuse it or document the damage – and report it on the order page or at [email protected]. The carrier claim is ours to handle, not yours.
Withdrawal – and why custom print is excluded
No 14-day withdrawal right applies to the prints. They are produced to your specification from your files – goods made to the consumer's requirements and adapted to personal needs under Section 1837(d) of the Civil Code, exempt from withdrawal. You see this notice at the checkout before paying and in the order confirmation.
The exclusion takes nothing away from your rights for defective performance – a bad print is always a valid complaint.
Beyond the statute we give you a free cancellation right until printing starts: cancel on the order page any time before the print shop begins printing, and anything paid comes back in full within 14 days.
Should you ever buy something from us that is not custom-made, the statutory 14-day withdrawal applies – exercisable with the model form under Government Regulation No. 29/2023 Coll. or any unequivocal statement to [email protected], with the refund due within 14 days of withdrawal.
Defects and complaints
We are liable for defects under Sections 2161 et seq. of the Civil Code. As a consumer you may complain of a defect appearing within 24 months of handover; a defect showing within one year is presumed to have existed at handover. The full procedure is in the complaints policy, which forms part of these terms.
In short: complain on the order page, at [email protected], or directly at the print shop that produced the order – the shop is our complaint point and a complaint raised there counts as raised with us. We resolve complaints within 30 days, including informing you (Section 2173 of the Civil Code); otherwise you may withdraw or request a reasonable discount.
A defect is a deviation from what was agreed. A result that faithfully matches your uploaded file and chosen parameters (low-resolution sources, colour shifts from your file's colour profile, typos in your document) is not a defect – the platform warns about obviously low-resolution files before ordering where it can detect them.
Reviews
Reviews on the platform come only from customers with a completed order – the review form is reachable solely through the private order link, which is how we verify each review against a genuine purchase. We do not edit their substance; we remove reviews that are unlawful or unrelated to the order.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights, our liability for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or for harm to a person's natural rights. Otherwise our duty to compensate harm connected with an order is limited to that order's price; we are not liable to business customers for indirect damage or lost profit. The platform is provided with professional care, as available; uninterrupted operation of the website is not guaranteed.
Business customers
If you order as a business (an IČO on the order), the consumer provisions do not apply to you. We accept business orders only from customers established in the same country as the chosen print shop's market; cross-border business orders are refused at checkout. Between businesses, Sections 1799 and 1800 of the Civil Code are excluded.
Out-of-court dispute resolution
If we fail to settle a dispute directly – please try [email protected] first – a consumer may turn to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), Central Inspectorate – ADR Department, Štěpánská 567/15, 120 00 Praha 2, adr.coi.cz, e-mail [email protected], within 1 year of first raising the claim with us. The proceeding is free of charge. Supervision over us is exercised by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority and the trade licensing office.
Changes and final provisions
We may amend these terms for future orders; the version effective when you place an order governs that order, and changes never apply retroactively. Each version carries a visible effective date, and previous versions are available on request.
These terms and the contract are governed by Czech law. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another EU country, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of that country's mandatory provisions, and you may litigate in its courts. For consumers the Czech text is binding; this English version is a courtesy translation. If any provision is invalid, the remainder stands. Notices are made by e-mail or on the order page.
Version 1.0. Effective from the day of publication at tiskarnik.cz for orders placed on or after that day; earlier orders are governed by the rules published at the time of ordering (when the print shop was the seller). Operator: Jetlio, s.r.o., IČO 09967231, Voroněžská 2547/1, 616 00 Brno, C 121887 at the Regional Court in Brno.
